improvement?

Gloria in Excelsis Deo!

"Gloria!"

EACH STEP ON THE PATH TO ENLIGHTENMENT is not only exciting, but also rewarding, because with each step, enlightenment is getting closer and closer. Any insight, if taken out of context, seems mysterious, but what a fascinating experience it is. The one who seeks has especially significant, illuminating moments, they illuminate the further path, leading to success. Before you is a collection of such truths, relying on which boldly step forward. Although there are many doors to heaven, everyone who seeks must find his own. Deeper understanding behind the apparent complexity reveals the hidden truth. They say that there are ten thousand paths to God, but they can be reduced to a minimum number by choosing the most successful ones. Each of the above statements is priceless, as it has been tested by experience. So, happy journey.

Introduction

THOSE WHO HAVE ATTENDED DAVID HAWKINS' SEMINARS have realized that the truths he reveals are ideal for Westerners who seek spirituality. His teachings are in close agreement both with the ancient mystical teachings and with the requirements of everyday life. Just one quotation or passage read can change a person's life, inspire him or her to a spiritual journey. The selection has been made in such a way that it is convenient for you to focus on one thought, quote or passage at your leisure. No prior experience or correspondence knowledge of Dr. Hawkins's work is needed to benefit from these wise truths. You may want to test yourself and apply the knowledge you have learned to different life circumstances, or just meditate on a quote for a whole day. Keep the book just at hand, in a convenient place for you - on your desk, in the car or in your purse or case. Choose a convenient time each day to read the Divine Wisdom taught by Dr. Hawkins.

Quotes and passages have been gleaned from the writings of Dr. Hawkins: Power vs. Force" ("Strength against Violence"); The Eye of the I: Reality and Subjectivity and others. All passages quoted are exactly the same as they can be read in Dr. Hawkins' original texts. If some terms are unfamiliar and incomprehensible to you, then please use the glossary at the end of the book. In the end, I leave you alone with the words of Dr. Hawkins: “Sooner or later, but the illusion disappears, and then the spiritual quest begins. When the vector of search changes and rushes inward, and not outward, then the search for answers begins.

Maybe you will find some answers inside...

All the best,

Scott Geoffrey

Where to start the search for spirituality

truth or self-improvement,

called enlightenment?

Start with yourself - with someone who

you and what you are. True

hidden inside.

Question: Where to start the search for spiritual truth or self-improvement called enlightenment?

Answer: It's very simple. Start with yourself - who you are and who you are. The truth is hidden inside. Use time-honored spiritual teachings as a practical guide.

The ego world is like a house with mirrors. The distorted reflections of the lost ego seem to be chasing each other, flickering first in one mirror, then in another. Human life is a series of endless trials, trials and errors; her only goal is to break out of this whirlwind. For many, apparently most people, the world of mirror reflections is sometimes presented as a house where fears and nightmares reign, in which it is getting worse and harder to live. The only way out of the cycle of wandering is the search for spiritual truth.

Life is constantly flowing and changing. People are born, suffer, suffer and die. They are accompanied by happiness and sorrow, success and failure, ups and downs. On the stage of the karmic theater of the universe, the karmic dance of life is going on.

The greatest gift that each of us can bring to the world is to become more conscious; moreover, remember that due to the effect of the wave, the gift always returns to its source.

The field of consciousness is infinite - Omnipresent, Omnipotent, it embraces All Existence. Nothing can happen outside the field, because it is the Source of Being. The infinite field of energy breaks up into levels, the energy of which gradually decreases. As the diversity of energy levels increases, their relative strength decreases (linearity of attenuation) as they decrease to the level of an individual or personality. This huge field can be compared to an immense electrostatic field in which each person is like a "charged particle". Since the force field is infinite, the person is inserted into it in accordance with the magnitude of his individual "charge". The charge of the karmic spiritual body determines determination and purposefulness. Everything that happens is due to the action of the field. Thus, there is nothing "accidental" in the reality surrounding us.

The main goal of our society is success and prosperity, while the goal of enlightenment is to go beyond these narrow limits.

Through wisdom and inner humility, the seeker of truth seriously considers the inherent limitations of the human "psyche" (soul in Greek) and no longer relies on the personal, sensory perception of the ego as the only knower of truth.

Spiritual development is not a virtue, but a way of life. It has its own orientation and its own values, more importantly, it gives a vector to our efforts.

To know about a great teaching is in itself a consequence of spiritual effort. But even better is to act according to the teachings.

Question: What do you need to do to be useful in life?

Answer: Dedicate (or give) your life to people so that they are kinder, gentler, more generous and compassionate - always and everywhere and under any circumstances, so that everyone treats the other as if they were themselves. This is the greatest gift to the world that each of us can give.

Spiritual education is not subject to logic and linear progress. This is something more than a simple assimilation of spiritual principles and teachings that open the consciousness and develop spiritual abilities. There is nothing "new" in learning, it's just that what already exists is something quite obvious.

Spiritual truth in its entirety is contained in any spiritual commandment. It is only necessary to fully comprehend the meaning of a single commandment in order to understand all the others and come closer to comprehending the essence of the surrounding world.

Renowned consciousness researcher David Hawkins, with the help of applied kinesiology, deduced a map of consciousness. According to this map, the human consciousness is divided into levels, each of which corresponds to the dominant emotion and perception of life, and a certain amount of energy is also available.

The higher we rise on the scale, the correspondingly, the amount of vital energy increases, and the perception of life changes for the better, the lower - lower our energy and emotions are more negative. The values on the map are not arithmetic, but logarithmic, which means that each energy level increases exponentially.Sir David Hawkins is known as a psychiatrist, writer, teacher and researcher, spiritual teacher. Dr. Hawkins was looking for a way to reconnect a person with a higher reality with the highest level of consciousness.

And I found it in applied kinesiology, which confirms the existence of a connection between muscle tone and the state of internal organs, as well as the mental well-being of a person. Considering consciousness as a single information (energy) field through which one can cognize the Truth, David Hawkins opposed it to the human mind, which is not able to distinguish true from false.

Mind Map by David Hawkins

To access consciousness, he suggested using a simple kinesiology muscle test that determines the truth or falsity of a statement depending on muscle tone.

The muscles of the body instantly weaken in the absence of Truth or become strong in its presence.

With this bridge between mind and body, between the embodied and the non-embodied, one can get a yes or no answer to almost any question.

“With this simple tool, you can explain and document the exact nature of everything in the universe, at any given time. Everything that exists or has existed, without exception, radiates frequency and vibration as a permanent trace in the impersonal field of consciousness, and information can be obtained with a muscle test through self-awareness.(from the book by D. Hawkins "Power and Violence")

Map of consciousness according to D. Hawkins

David Hawkins' research led to the creation of a system for calibrating human consciousness. Hawkins proposes to determine the level of consciousness using the same muscle test. Using it, he calibrated the truth levels of many phenomena in our lives.

Hawkins' levels of consciousness: shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, intelligence, love, joy, peace, enlightenment.

At every moment of life there is a prevailing "normal" state.

The transition from a low level to a higher one is accompanied by a significant change in life.

David Hawkins' research led to the creation of a system for calibrating human consciousness.

Calibration of consciousness according to D. Hawkins

A shame(shame) - one step to death. Level of suicide or serial killers. In other words, it is self-directed hatred.

Guilt(guilt) - a level above shame, but may have suicidal thoughts. A person thinks of himself as a sinner and cannot forgive himself for past deeds.

Apathy(apathy) - a person feels hopeless or torments himself. Full conviction in their helplessness. Many homeless people are stuck on this level.

Woe(grief) - the level of endless sadness and loss. You can get here after the loss of a loved one. Depression. Still higher than apathy, because. the person begins to get rid of the stupor.

Fear(fear) - the world seems dangerous and unreliable. A person needs help, otherwise he will remain in a trap for a long time, for example, in such a “suppressive” relationship.

Wish(desire) - this is the level of desire, bad habits and passion - for money, approval, power, fame. This is the level of smoking, alcohol and drugs. Consumption. Materialism.

Anger(anger) - the level of disappointment, often due to the inability to fulfill desires born at the previous level. This level can spur a person to action at higher levels, or make him drown in hatred. In "suppressive" relationships, you can often see a couple: one is filled with anger, the other is filled with fear.

Pride(pride) - the first level, when a person begins to feel good, but this is a false feeling.

It depends on the external environment (money, prestige) and therefore it is vulnerable. Pride can lead to nationalism, racism and religious wars.

The level of irrational self-denial and self-defense. Religious fundamentalists also belong to this level. A person becomes so attached to his faith that you perceive any attack on your picture of the world as an attack on yourself.

Bravery(courage) - the first level of real strength.

Here a person begins to see that life is full of trials, it captures, and does not suppress at all. There is a hint of interest in personal development, although at this level one calls it advancement, career, education. A person begins to see his future as growth relative to the past, and not just as its continuation.

Neutrality(neutrality) - it can be described by the phrase “Let yourself be yourself and let others be different”.

A flexible, relaxed and unencumbered life. You don't have to prove anything to anyone. Many self-employed people are at this level. A very comfortable place. This is the level of contentment and laziness. A person takes care of his needs, but does not strain.

readiness(willingness) - when a person feels safe and comfortable, he begins to use his energy more efficiently.

Just making ends meet doesn't seem like a good idea anymore. He pays attention to doing well, perhaps even doing his best. There are thoughts about time management, productivity and self-organization, concepts that were not so important at the level of neutrality.

This is the level of development of will and discipline.

Such people are the "soldiers" of our society; they do their job and don't complain too much. This is the level where consciousness becomes more organized and disciplined.

Adoption(acceptance) - Now there is a powerful shift, and the person is awakening to the possibilities of an active life.

This is the level of setting and achieving goals. A person begins to accept (take on) responsibility for his role in this world. If something in life is not in order (career, health, relationships), he determines the desired state and achieves it.

A person begins to see the full picture of his life more clearly. This level encourages many people to change careers, start a new business.

Intelligence(reason) - at this level, a person overcomes the emotional aspects of the lower levels and begins to think clearly and rationally.

Hawkins defines it as the level of medicine and science. When a person reaches this level, he has the ability to use the abilities of the mind to its full potential.

Now he has the discipline and activity to fully display his innate abilities. The person reaches a point where he says, “Great. I can do it all, and I know I have to put it to good use. So how best to use my talents? In its limit, this is the level of Einstein and Freud.

Love(love) - I don't like the Hawkins label "love" here because it's not the emotion of love.

It is unconditional love, the constant awareness of your connection to all that exists. Think compassion! On an intellectual level, your life works for the head.

But in the end it turns out to be a dead end, you fall into a trap where there is too much intelligence. You see that you need a wider context than just thinking for yourself. At the level of love, your head and all other talents begin to work for the heart (not for emotions, but for a greater sense of good and evil - for your consciousness).

This is the level of awakening to its true purpose. Your motives on this level are pure and uncorrupted by the passions of your ego. This is the level of lifelong service to humanity. At this level, you begin to be guided by forces greater than yourself. This is a feeling of release. Intuition becomes extremely powerful. Hawkins claims that only 1 in 250 people reach this level in their lifetime.

Joy(joy) - a feeling of penetrating and unshakable happiness.

Eckhart Tolle talks about it in his lecture The Power of Now. This is the level of advanced spiritual teachers. At this level, you will feel amazing just being around people.

Here life is completely governed by intuition and coincidences. There is no more need for goals and detailed plans - your expanded consciousness allows you to operate with higher concepts. Events close to death can temporarily elevate you to this level.

World(peace) - complete transcendence. Hawkins assures that one in 10 million reaches this level.

Enlightenment(enlightenment) - the highest level of human consciousness, where humanity is combined with divinity.

The hierarchy of levels of human consciousness was described by David Hawkins in his book Power vs. Force. In his concept, the author relies on R. Sheldrake's hypotheses about the existence of "morphogenetic fields" and K. Pribram's holographic model of the brain.

The scale of consciousness measurement proposed by Hawkins has a range from 0 to 1000 conditional values of the activity of energy fields generated by consciousness.

Each of the 17 levels of consciousness corresponds to a variety of mental states and a certain level of activity of energy fields. An important note is given that the numbers do not represent an arithmetic progression, but a logarithm to base 10.

1 means existence as such (bacteria), and 1000 is the highest level of development of consciousness in the physical body (Jesus, Buddha, Krishna). Most people barely reach the level of Truth (200).

Hawkins defines a boundary line (conditional indicator = 200), below which the main goals of a person are survival, the manifestation of their animal instincts, and above it, the desire for harmony, positivism grows, the well-being of other people gradually acquires significance.

Through this scheme, the interdependence of the level of consciousness and the amount of force, vital energy that a person possesses is explained - the higher his creativity and positivism, the higher the potential of the energy fields that he generates.

In the concepts proposed by D. Hawkins and O. Oris, the personality psyche is described as a complex dynamics of multi-level processes. The course of evolution along the scale does not occur in a strictly linear manner within the framework of any one level, but rather the process is carried out in accordance with the distribution of interest.

A person consistently acquires a spectrum of different levels of life experience, either “going back”, or “looking ahead”, and only by the average dynamics of his thought-sensory activity, choices and actions can one judge the range of consciousness activity. Moreover, in different spheres of life, a person can manifest himself through radically different levels of consciousness.

Scale of mental activity (map of consciousness) by D. Hawkins

The figure shows the scale of mental activity in the format proposed by the author: emotion, the energy level corresponding to it, the key perception of oneself (life) and the divine.

According to the proposed model, starting from the level of courage, a person is able to overcome obstacles on the way to the goal, trusting life and others to a greater extent, perceiving obstacles as incentives for development. It is from the state of courage that the conscious, creative creativity of a person begins.

All states that are characterized by a mark below 200 characterize a different degree of frustration, destructive impulses of a person in relation to himself and the surrounding reality.

The author calls the critical point marked "200" a transition zone between negative and positive, dual and more conscious holistic thinking.

The most "gross" forms of manifestation of mental activity, according to this scale, are apathetic, depressive states, in which a person driven by instincts is capable of manifestations of extreme aggressiveness and destructiveness, despite adverse consequences for himself.

It is noteworthy that as a result of many years of research, D. Hawkins gives the following general characteristics of the collective level of consciousness of mankind:

“The collective level of consciousness of mankind has remained at the level of 190 points for many centuries and, strangely, has grown to its current mark of 204 points only during the last decade.”

Crossing the 200 mark also symbolizes the transition from violence to force as a creative resource.

How can you test and raise your level of consciousness?

Let's use the scale of control and increase in the frequency of vibrations by D. Hawkins.

If we make an analysis of habits, preferences, the most regular activities and lifestyle of a person, then we can get an indicator of his level of consciousness, since the influence of various practices and activities on the development of consciousness is noticed. Each item listed on the scale is a comparative measure measured on the basis of the “average person”.

It is assumed that the factors listed in the scale items are regular practices that are fully integrated into the personality and lifestyle. Wherein, apparent activity definitely does not raise the frequency!

The same is true with skill.

When something regularly practiced becomes a skill, it equates to getting the most out of achieving full mastery in that area.

However, some of the categories below have a relatively small percentage of benefit, but are vital when they work as serious energy anchors to hold back energy evolution.

Other categories are more useful, but are optional, as they represent one of several possible (alternative) ways to increase the frequency of energy.

All of these factors, taken together, have a complex effect on quantitative indicators. However, it is clear that a permanent increase in vibration up to 500% is available through the right combination of practices. Considering the scale itself, it is already possible to achieve certain results.

Hawkins Vibration Control and Increasing Scale

Numerical and alphabetic designations are used as basic indicators of the scale.

Numbers is the maximum amount of vibration increase available using each item/practice, assuming that the average person starts at 200. That is, the base frequency given on the comparative scale is added to this value.

Letters indicate four levels of importance for influencing vibration frequency:

The material in The Eye of the Self from Which Nothing Is Hidden is divided into four main sections.

In the first, David Hawkins talks about his own experience of enlightenment. In the second, it sets the algorithm for searching for the spiritual path, marking the main stages and pitfalls that await everyone who follows it. The third section is devoted to the nature of consciousness and the problem of achieving enlightenment. And in the final part, the author answers the questions that he was asked by seminar participants from different countries, concretizing some of the ideas expressed in the book.

This work covers a huge range of materials. It presents not just a detailed presentation of the highest states of consciousness, information about spirituality is generalized and transmitted in a new context, becoming accessible to logic and intelligence.

Force vs Violence. Hidden motives of human actions

Imagine being able to get a simple yes or no answer to any question you want to ask. Accurate and truthful answer. For any question. Dr. Hawkins believes that such a possibility exists. It is provided by kinesiology - a science that studies the muscles of the human body and their response to external stimuli.

According to the author, the body cannot lie and, therefore, is a universal measuring device. With its help, we can receive answers to any questions directly from our own subconscious, which, in turn, has a direct connection with the Divine.

David Hawkins - about the author

A life member of the American Psychiatric Association, he began working as a psychiatrist in 1952. Having abandoned his extensive practice in New York for scientific research, he continues his spiritual guidance.

Dr. Hawkins is the author of numerous scientific papers and video courses; in 1973, in collaboration with Linus Pauling, Nobel laureate, he created the groundbreaking work Orthomolecular Psychiatry. Dr. Hawkins' extensive experience as a psychotherapist and teacher is noted in the biographical note Who's Who in America.

Dr. Hawkins is the Principal of the Institute for Advanced Theoretical Research.

On September 19, 2012, Dr. David R. Hawkins' heart stopped. He died at his home in Sedona, Arizona (USA), surrounded by family, at the age of 85, respected and known throughout the world for his research on consciousness. Sir David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D, was known as a psychiatrist, writer, teacher and researcher, and spiritual teacher.

From early childhood, he repeatedly experienced unusual states of consciousness, when the personal "I" began to merge with a large, impersonal "I". At this time, he felt peace, an indescribable glow and the presence of boundless love, out of time and out of space. This experience is often referred to as Enlightenment. But young David had no idea what was happening to him, and for a long time he lived his life like many of his peers. He was an agnostic and skeptical of religion. After serving on a minesweeper in the US Navy during World War II, he graduated from medical school and practiced psychotherapy in New York. In his work, he enthusiastically tried to unravel the mysteries of the human brain, actively introducing innovations into his practice. His methods were especially effective in relation to patients with alcoholism and drug addiction. Success has come. But along with it, an incurable disease.

At the age of 38, David Hawkins stood at the very edge and was very upset by what was happening. One day, having reached the bottom of despair, he doomedly called out to God, praying for help and giving all of himself to his will. And reverence descended on him: the “I” disappeared, pride and personality disappeared, and they were replaced by the feeling of the Divine Presence. Everything around shone and was subject to a sense of unity and infinity. The world was perfect and Divine. In this state, there was no need to think, fear disappeared, the Truth became obvious. Fame, success and money have lost all meaning. There was a continuous flow of radiant energy. Time passed, but this state did not leave Hawkins. There was the ability to perceive the reality behind the personality, and the understanding that the cause of emotional illness lies in the conviction of people that they are some kind of “personality”.

The clinical activity of Dr. Hawkins has acquired a new qualitative level. People came from all over the country. The practice has acquired grandiose proportions: thousands of patients, fifty specialists, new research and laboratories. Dr. Hawkins was featured on radio and television. The results of his research were widely published in medical and psychoanalytic journals. In 1973, he co-authored the book Orthomolecular Psychiatry: The Treatment of Schizophrenia with Nobel Prize-winning chemist Linus Pauling, in which he described a method of treating schizophrenia using biologically active substances to restore the biochemical balance in the body, the violation of which, according to the authors, was the cause schizophrenia.

Life developed in perfect harmony. All chronic diseases disappeared. Everything looked beautiful and radiant. It was like falling in love. Studying his condition, the doctor turned to the study of spiritual teachings and acquaintance with similar experiences of other people. It suddenly became obvious to him that humanity is motivated by inner love, but does not realize this and lives most of its life as if in a dream. The strength of the energy gradually increased and had an inexplicable effect on others, healing them or finding answers to their questions. Miracles were happening all around, the source of which was the state of the Presence, an appeal to the universal source of infinite love.

To save humanity from suffering, Dr. Hawkins was looking for a way to reconnect a person with a higher reality, with a higher level of consciousness. And I found it in applied kinesology, which claims the existence of a connection between muscle tone and the state of internal organs, as well as the mental well-being of a person. Considering consciousness as a single information (energy) field through which one can cognize the Truth, David Hawkins opposed it to the human mind, which is not able to distinguish true from false. And to gain access to consciousness, he suggested using a simple kinesiology muscle test that determines the truth or falsity of a statement depending on muscle tone.

Everything that exists or has existed, without exception, radiates frequency and vibration as a permanent trace in the impersonal field of consciousness, and information can be obtained with a muscle test through consciousness itself.

The universe has become manifest; secrets are no longer possible. Obviously, "every hair on every head" can be counted, and they are counted, and not a single sparrow falls unnoticed. “Everything hidden will be revealed” is now a fait accompli” (from the book by D. Hawkins “Power vs. Violence”)

David Hawkins' research led to the creation of a system for calibrating human consciousness. He described the levels of human consciousness on a scale from 1 to 1000: shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride, courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, intelligence, love, joy, peace, enlightenment. The level of consciousness equal to one is possessed by creatures with low energy (bacteria, algae). The highest level of consciousness is reached by those whose energy field of consciousness affects all of humanity (Jesus, Buddha, Krishna), but most people barely reach the level of Truth (200), which means that our consciousness is controlled by primitive animal instincts, motives and stereotypes of behavior. Hawkins proposes to determine the level of consciousness using the same muscle test. Using it, he calibrated the truth levels of many of the phenomena of our lives.

David Hawkins spent the last three decades of his life in Arizona, in a small town, and devoted himself to work in seemingly distant fields of science and spirituality. He founded the Institute of Spiritual Research, which studies consciousness, wrote several books that became very popular in many countries, was a member and organizer of many communities and organizations, traveled with his lectures and gained a large number of followers from all over the world. In 2003, Hawkins became the leader of Devotional Nonduality, a spiritual school that preaches the core truths of the world's great traditions: kindness and compassion for all (including oneself), unconditional love, humility, exploration of the nature of existence, and self-realization. Its chapters, which have sprang up autonomously in many cities around the world, follow the principle "We change the world not by what we say or do, but as a consequence of who we have become."

The materials of David Hawkins are widely recognized as unique because such a high state of spiritual awareness arose from an agnostic, a person with a scientific and medical background, who was able to describe and explain to people the phenomenon of how such a state of awareness can be achieved.
